DISPLAY CABINET

The Chairman of a Guernsey property development company, having seen the Captain’s Table on a visit, commissioned this display cabinet as a gift for HMS Daring to mark their affiliation with this brand new first in class destroyer.
Nick designed and made the cabinet to complement the Captain’s table and Occasional table that he had previously made.
The materials used are burr oak veneer for the back panels, with solid oak used for the framework. Solid european oak was used for the top and bottom of the cabinet. There is also the marquetry HMS Daring crest laid into each of the centre back panel.
