SERPENTINE DESK

John bought an almost derelict house in a small East Devon village. One of his passions is collecting first edition books. He asked Nick to design and make a pedestal desk to complement his new oak bookcase lined library.

This desk is made using eucalyptus burr veneered draws and  panels, with a soft leather shaped pad surrounded by a walnut stringing inlay to the European oak lipped desktop. The feet and draw  knobs are also American black walnut and the hand cut dovetails on the draws have a walnut peg detail.
