CASCADE TABLE

This console table is a one-off commission, designed and made especially for the Peter Blundell Foundation Award Provision inaugural 2010 prize draw.

The table is made from solid Ash and Purple Heart, with a shellac and wax finish. Both timbers are from sustainable sources.

The Ash is English and, in contrast, both in colour and origin, the Purple Heart (also known as Viloletwood) is a tropical wood from Central-Southern America. Surprisingly, the vibrant purple colouring is completely natural and will darken over time.
